My mom thinks I interpreted what happened wrong.

maybe, at the start, your father was actually trying to clean you, but he should have at least had used a wash cloth or something instead of his bare hands. I suggest talking to your mother again to let her know how severely this has affected you. If it doesn’t work, try talking to some sort of counselor.

If nothing helps, but you feel as if this whole situation is burning inside of you, maybe the only way to set things right is to talk to your dad. It may be the most awkward and heart-wretching conversation of your life, but you’ll get closure.
